Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi miss out as Real Madrid target Leny Yoro names dream 5-a-side team

Real Madrid target Leny Yoro has ignored both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi when naming his dream 5-a-side team. The French youngster is wanted by Real Madrid, who are reportedly closing in on an agreement to sign him this summer.

Teenage sensation Yoro has burst onto the scene in European football and is wanted by a number of top clubs. Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester United and Liverpool have all tried to convince the 18-year-old to don their colors from next season, but a move to the Santiago Bernabeu seems most likely at this stage.

Despite a potential move to Spain's top-flight, the Lille defender would not have two of the league's biggest-ever names, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, in his dream five-a-side team. He made the revelation via @ohmygoal_fr on X, as reported by MadridXtra.

“My dream five a side? Ramos, Marcelo, Kanté, Mbappé & Neymar.”

Yoro chose Real Madrid legends Sergio Ramos and Marcelo at the back, and went with compatriot N'Golo Kante in midfield. He chose the former PSG duo of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to lead the line in his star-studded side.

Leny Yoro has reportedly decided to join Real Madrid this summer or the next. The youngster will be out of contract next summer and will sign for Los Blancos for free if Lille fail to negotiate a fee for him.

Yoro is on international duty with the French U-23 team preparing to play in the Olympics in Paris next month. The 18-year-old is expected to play a key role for his country, seeing how much he has developed in the past year.

German star picks Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo

Germany and Barcelona midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has chosen Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo when asked to pick between the icons. The former Manchester City man is curently captaining his nation at Euro 2024 and is looking to lead them to their fourth title.

Gundogan featured prominently for Manchester City before moving to Barcelona last summer, captaining the Cityzens to the treble in 2022-23. The midfielder was asked to take his pick on Sorare, where he chose Messi over Ronaldo without wasting any time.

The 33-year-old has never played on the same team as Ronaldo or Messi, but has been engulfed by the latter's influence. While at City, he was coached by Pep Guardiola, for whom Messi was the gold standard of a footballer. Upon moving to Spain, he joined Barcelona where the Argentine was the star player for 17 seasons.
