Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo's bicycle kick against Poland on Friday (November 15) in the UEFA Nations League has won the Goal of the Round award. Portugal recorded a 5-0 victory over Poland in Group A on Matchday 5.

After a goalless first half, AC Milan forward Rafael Leao broke the deadlock for Portugal in the 59th minute. In the 72nd minute, Poland conceded a penalty, which was launched perfectly in the centre of the goal by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bruno Fernandes made the scoreline 3-0 with a goal in the 80th minute, courtesy of Vatinha's assist. Ronaldo assisted Os Navegadores' fourth goal of the match, which was netted by Pedro Neto (83').

However, the major highlight of the match came in the 87th minute when Cristiano Ronaldo scored a bicycle kick to make the scoreline 5-0. Nevertheless, Dominik Marczuk scored Poland's only goal of the match, with the Nation's League fixture finishing 5-1.

The 39-year-old's bicycle goal in the 87th minute has been named as the Goal of the Round. Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes' goal in the same match has been placed second in the list ahead of Curtis Jones' backheel strike for England against Greece.

Portugal topped the League 1 Group A over the likes of Croatia, Scotland, and Poland. Os Navegadores garnered 14 points in six matches, with four wins and two draws.

Ronaldo played five games in the group stage, bagging five goals and one assist. He missed the side's last group-stage match against Croatia on Tuesday, November 19.

French icon talks about what Kylian Mbappe must do at Real Madrid to follow Cristiano Ronaldo's footsteps

Former French defender Vincent Candela has stated that Kylian Mbappe has to work more at Santiago Bernabeu to match Cristiano Ronaldo's achievements for Los Blancos. Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) earlier this summer on a free transfer.

The 1988 FIFA World Cup winner also stated that while Mbappe was a star at PSG, the 25-year-old is one of many great players at Real Madrid. He said (via Madrid Universal):

"He needs to work more in Spain. He can still grow and become a strong footballer. At Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe is one among many, while at PSG he was an icon."

Candela also emphasized that Mbappe would have to win major trophies, mainly the UEFA Champions League, to match Cristiano Ronaldo's status at Santiago Bernabeu. He added:

"Hopefully, Mbappe can follow Cristiano Ronaldo's path at Real Madrid but it's too early to compare them. First of all, he must win the Champions League, as the Portuguese did many times."

Ronaldo won 16 major trophies with Real Madrid, including four UEFA Champions League titles. He's also the club's all-time top scorer with 451 goals and 131 assists in 438 appearances.
