Cristiano Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez provides health update after spending 4 days in hospital with pneumonia
Georgina Rodriguez, partner of Al-Nassr ace Cristiano Ronaldo, has revealed that she spent four days in admission at the hospital with pneumonia. The model has been discharged from the hospital and updated her followers on Instagram on the events of recent days.
While Ronaldo was strutting his stuff on the pitch for his club, his partner was admitted at the Saudi German Hospital in Riyadh with a diagnosis of pneumonia. The 30-year-old posted a photo of herself receiving an IV drip on her Instagram story. She added a comment thanking the staff of the hospital for taking good care of her in the four days she spent there.
"Finally back home! I spent four days in the hospital with pneumonia, I'm better now but still recovering at home with my family❤️. I have to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff members, doctors, nurses and everyone at the hospital... they took care of me so wonderfully and I am very grateful for that❤️T.hank you all for such a great stay❤️,"Georgina wrote.
The biological mother of two made her post on Thursday, October 24, signifying that she was at the hospital from Sunday, October 20. During that time, Cristiano Ronaldo featured for Al-Nassr in the AFC Champions League Elite against Esteghlal in Dubai, with his side winning 1-0 thanks to Aymeric Laporte.
Georgina Rodriguez and Ronaldo have been together since 2016 and moved to Saudi Arabia together in 2023 when he joined Al-Nassr. They have two children, Alana Martina and Bella, together. The Portugal legend has three more children, Cristiano Jr, Eva, and Mateo, from previous relationships.
When Georgina Rodriguez revealed her reaction to Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr switch
Cristiano Ronaldo fell out with the hierarchy at Manchester United before releasing a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan. It effectively led to the end of his stay at the club in November 2022. The Portuguese forward moved to Saudi Arabia in January 2023, where he has been since with his family.
The forward's partner Georgina Rodriguez spoke about the move on her Netflix show 'I am Georgina', revealing her delight at the news. She said that she was eager to leave Manchester after their ordeal at the club.
"When Cris told me he was going to play for Al-Nassr, I was so relieved because I really wanted to leave Manchester. I knew something big was waiting for us and we were highly motivated. I was very happy to come to Saudi Arabia," Rodriguez said (via Daily Mail).
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez had a set of twins together in 2022 but lost one of them, Angel, shortly after their birth. This event, coupled with the fractious relationship between Erik ten Hag and Ronaldo, contributed to their decision to leave the UK.
