Cristiano Ronaldo superfan IShowSpeed has revealed that Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior is the most famous contact on his phone. In a video with House of Highlights, the YouTuber went on to Facetime the Brazilian forward, though the voice that answered the call couldn't be verified.
Vinicius finished second behind Rodri in this year's Ballon d'Or race. The 24-year-old was the favorite for the coveted prized in the build-up to the grand show.
Vinicius registered 24 goals and 11 assists from 39 games across competitions for Los Blancos last season, winning the league, the Champions League, and the Supercopa de Espana. However, it was not enough as Rodri was voted the winner, thanks to his exploits with Manchester City and Spain.
The 28-year-old won the Premier League with the Citizens, and helped La Roja win Euro 2024. Real Madrid were least pleased with the verdict and skipped the Ballon d'Or ceremony in protest.
However, Speed was at the Theatre du Chatalet, Paris, on October 28 to attend the ceremony. He was seen cheering for Vinicius Junior while waiting for the awards to be announced and was visibly disappointed after the player missed out.
It is unclear whether Speed has the Brazilian's contact number, but the YouTuber has always been vocal about his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese icon was not among the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d'Or awards this year.
The 39-year-old is currently plying his trade with Al-Nassr, although his contract with the Saudi Arabian side expires at the end of this season. Ronaldo last won the Ballon d'Or in 2017 as a Real Madrid player.
