Al-Nassr held to 3-3 draw in Cristiano Ronaldo's absence
The Knights of Najd were held to a 3-3 away draw by Al-Kholood in the Saudi Pro League on Friday, October 25. Cristiano Ronaldo did not feature in the clash as he was rested by manager Stefano Pioli.
The hosts opened the scoring after 12 minutes through Myziane Maolida. Aymeric Laporte restored parity for Al-Nassr four minutes later. Brazilan forward Anderson Talisca then put the visitors ahead in the game for the first time. However, Maolida scored again to even the score to see the score tied 2-2 at halftime.
Al-Kholood took the lead again in the 71st minute through Jackson Muleka and looked to secure all three points on the day. However, a late penalty goal by Talisca in the fifth minute of additional time saved Al-Nassr's blushes.
With this result, Al-Nassr are third in the standings with 18 points after eight games, three points behind leaders Al-Hilal who have played a game less. Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to be back in action for their league clash with rivals Al-Hilal on November 1. They will also face Al-Taawoun at home in the King Cup of Champions on October 29.
