“Doesn’t get the respect he deserves”, “He’s been unbelievable” - Fans salute 22-year-old Chelsea star for ‘flawless’ display in 3-0 win at West Ham

Fans have taken to social media to salute Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo, who had an impressive performance in their 3-0 win over West Ham United. The Blues visited their cross-town rivals at the London Stadium on September 21, getting past them relatively easily.

Nicolas Jackson was easily the star for the Blues as he broke the Hammers down with two early goals. He scored the first goal early on in the fourth minute, thanks to some quick thinking and an assist from Jadon Sancho. His second goal in the 18th minute was assisted by Caicedo, whose one-time pass was laid perfectly for the striker to run onto and score.

Nioclas Jackson also got on the assist sheet, laying on the ball for Cole Palmer to score their third goal, just over a minute into the second half (47'). However, an important aspect of ensuring the win was Moises Caicedo's quality, as the midfielder pulled the strings and dominated the proceedings with his presence.

Aside from his assist, he had 75 touches on the ball, while making four tackles defensively. The Ecuadorian garnered a total of 14 defensive actions while winning a total of 13 duels. He was brilliant enough for the fans to take notice, as they praised him on social media with comments like these:

"This might be the best Caicedo performance I’ve ever seen," a fan claimed.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca pleased with Jackson double

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca praised Nicolas Jackson for the two goals he scored. The manager also noted the striker's impressive work off the ball. Speaking to the press after their 3-0 win, Maresca said about Jackson (via Football.london):

"Fantastic. In terms of numbers, goals and assists since I arrived, he is doing well. Off the ball, he is working hard. If a player misses one or two chances, it doesn't mean he is not playing well. It can happen. All players miss chances."

Nicolas Jackson has now scored an impressive four goals and provided two assists in five Premier League games. He will look to continue that run of form for Chelsea moving forward.
