England or Spain? Katy Perry predicts winner of Euro 2024
American singer and songwriter Katy Perry has expressed her support for England in the Euro 2024 final. The Three Lions will lock horns with Spain at the Olympiastadion in Berlin for the epic showdown on Sunday (July 14).
England will be out to win their first major international trophy since 1966. Gareth Southgate's team fell short three years ago, losing the championship to Italy 3-2 on penalties at Wembley. Playing in front of their fans, the English were favorites but failed to deliver the goods.
However, they now have another opportunity to redeem themselves and finally "Bring it home". This time, they face a Spanish side who have been arguably the most impressive team in the tournament.
La Roja will be gunning to become the first-ever team to win seven games on the trot in a single edition. Based on their performances, Spain are slight favorites in the encounter and will be out to win a record fourth European Championship.
Nevertheless, Katy Perry has backed England to win the title. The 39-year-old made her prediction known by tweeting on X (formerly Twitter):
"Football is coming home."
The Euro 2024 final in Berlin marks the first-ever major tournament final the Three Lions will be playing on foreign soil. Their 1966 FIFA World Cup triumph came on home soil, as well as the Euro 2020 loss to Italy.

Harry Kane will aim for team and personal success as he captains the Three Lions against Spain in the Euro 2024 final. While England hope to end their wait for a major tournament triumph since 1966, Kane could also become the second player to win the Golden Boot at two major international tournaments.
The Bayern Munich forward is one of six players who have scored three goals in the championship. Spain's Dani Olmo is Kane's main competitor for the Golden Boot. The Spanish midfielder has three goals and two assists.
If the Englishman clinches the accolade, he would join Germany's Gerd Muller as the only player to emerge as a Golden Boot winner at the European Championship and FIFA World Cup.
The legendary German forward won the FIFA World Cup Golden Boot in 1970, and Euro Golden Boot in 1972. Meanwhile, Kane won the World Cup Golden Boot in 2018, scoring six goals as England finished fourth.
