England women’s cricketer Danielle Wyatt describes Cristiano Ronaldo in one-word after he wins another award
England women's cricketer Danielle Wyatt has expressed her admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo after he was awarded the Platinum Quinas. The Portuguese was honored at the Quinas De Ouro gala, organized by the Portuguese Football Federation, for his contribution to the national team over the years.
The event was graced by Portugal Prime Minister Luís Montenegro while Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) President Fernando Gomes was also in attendance. Cristiano Ronaldo is already an icon in his country and has scored 133 goals from 213 games.
The 39-year-old shared a picture of himself on social media with the award after the gala.
Wyatt responded by labeling the Portuguese as a legend.
"Legend," wrote Wyatt.
Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed tremendous success with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus in his career. He moved to Al-Nassr in December 2022 after parting ways with Manchester United.
This season, Ronaldo has registered ten goals and three assists from 15 games across competitions. The Saudi club are currently third in the Saudi Pro League, six points behind leaders Al Hilal.
The Portuguese is in his third season with Al Nassr and his contract expires at the end of this campaign. The player hasn't signed a new deal yet but is likely to continue his stay with the Middle Eastern club.
How many goals has Cristiano Ronaldo scored to date?
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 908 goals from 1,250 games for club and country in his career. The Portuguese's first goal of his career came during his boyhood club Sporting's league game against Moreirense in October 2022.
Ronaldo, who was 17 at the time, scored a brace, announcing the start of a tremendous career. He would score his first goal for Portugal on June 12, 2004, against Greece in the group stages of Euro 2004.
He scored his 100th goal in January 2008, against Tottenham Hotspur as a Manchester United man. His 500th goal arrived during his time with Real Madrid, against Malmo in September 2015 in the group stages of the Champions League.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored his 900th goal while representing Portugal, in a 2-1 win over Greece in the UEFA Nations League on September 5 this year.
The Portuguese forward may be in the final phase of his career but has shown no signs of slowing down so far. He is likely to have his eyes on the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which could be his last dance with Portugal.
