Erling Haaland's agent provides update on superstar's future at Manchester City

Erling Haaland's agent has shared an update on the Manchester City striker's future at the Etihad Stadium. This comes after rumors hinted at a potential exit for the 23-year-old Norwegian superstar, who won the continental treble with the Cityzens in his debut season (2022-23) with them.

Haaland has easily retained his status as one of the best sharpshooters in the world, following his move to the Etihad. He has scored 90 goals so far for the Cityzens in just 98 games, providing 15 assists along the way. His agent Rafaela Pimenta has now opened up about Haaland's future, suggesting that an exit from Manchester City was out of the question. She said (via City Xtra):

"One thing is certain today: Erling Haaland feels at home at Manchester City. He is 1000 percent committed to the Man City project and is already looking forward to the new season with the club."

Reports have linked Haaland to clubs like Real Madrid in recent times, but the Spanish giants are not exactly in need of further attacking depth. While club legend Karim Benzema did leave the club last summer, they have since signed players like Kylian Mbappe, who looks set to lead the line at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos would also need to pay massively for Haaland, whose contract expires in 2027. It doesn't seem likely that they would be urged to make a move for the 23-year-old, who scored 38 goals and provided six assists in 45 games last season.

Erling Haaland will miss out on Euro 2024 after impressive season with Manchester City

After winning the Premier League, the UEFA Supercup, and the FIFA Club World Cup with Manchester City, Erling Haaland won't be partaking in Euro 2024. Norway failed to qualify for the competition, meaning that the 23-year-old striker has not appeared in any edition in his career.

He won't be the only major Premier League player missing out on the Euros this year, as his international teammate and Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard also sits out. His Manchester City teammate Jack Grealish has also missed out, failing to make the final England squad due to a season of injuries and poor form.

Across the city in Manchester, Marcus Rashford has not been called up to the England squad, following a subpar season with Manchester United. Former Red Devils captain Harry Maguire has also missed out due to fitness issues.
