After a successful stint with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the Frenchman joined Los Blancos this summer on a free transfer. He arrived in Madrid after becoming the PSG all-time highest goal scorer, bagging 256 goals and 108 assists in 308 games.
Kylian Mbappe began his career with the reigning UEFA Champions League winners with a bang, scoring the second goal of the game against Atalanta and securing the trophy. After the Super Cup final, the elated 25-year-old said (via Madrid Xtra on X):
“Everyone knows how much playing for Real Madrid means to me. It’s incredible.
Speaking to the Spanish television channel Movistar Futbol, Mbappe said he was thrilled with the start of his Real Madrid career.
"It has been a great night. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time, to play with this shirt, with this badge, for these fans. It's a great moment for me. And we won a title, which is important. In Madrid, you always have to win," the 2018 World Cup winner said (via Forbes).
He continued:
"I'm very happy, and with the goal too for sure, it's important for a striker like me. But the most important thing was to be able to have the pleasure of playing with this team, I had a lot of enthusiasm. It's a great day."
Real Madrid begin their La Liga title defense on August 18 against Mallorca at Mallorca Son Moix. Mbappe will be keen to replicate his form from his final season in Paris which saw him bag 44 goals and 10 assists in 48 games.

Ancelotti said (via Managing Madrid):
"First of all, he is going to bring his quality as well as his composure, attitude, and dedication. He is going to have to adapt for this team as everyone has had to. We are very happy he is here because he has great qualities and I'm sure, given his personality, he will adjust quickly."
"Everybody at Real Madrid is very happy he is here: the fans, the club, the players, the team-mates, the coach. We are all very happy he is here. We're sure he'll do very well," he added.
