In an Instagram post, FC Motivate has revealed the fitness routine of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner during his off-season, highlighting why he is considered one of the fittest and most dedicated footballers of all time.

According to the post, Cristiano Ronaldo's routine starts when he wakes up at 6 in the morning. The first thing he does after waking up is dive into ice-cold water to activate his muscles. Thereafter, he stretches in the sun while drinking loads of water. After the morning ritual, the 39-year-old engages in a 90-minute pitch workout to keep up his stamina level.

After the workout, he takes a 40-minute nap and follows it up with a refuel of ham, cheese, juice, and yogurt. Ronaldo follows it up with a second stretch of workout, this time weight training. After two hours of grueling weight-lifting, he takes another power nap to recharge.

The star keeps the evenings for his family and calls it a day at 11 pm after a light meal, a swimming session, and meditation.

Fans lauded Cristiano Ronaldo's routine in the comments section. Some of the comments are as follows.

"Must be nice ronaldo must be damn nice," commented one fan on Instagram.
"It requires a lot of handwork and discipline to follow his routine and do it everyday its not easy," agreed another.
"Everyone wants to be ronaldo, but it’s too hard," opined another fan on Instagram.

However, a few rival fans were quick to criticize him and called the routine fake, citing many caveats in Cristiano Ronaldo's off-season schedule.

"Who lifts weights for 2 hrs? Taking 10 min breaks between sets?" asked one fan.
"so no breakfast and dinner? just snacks? wow," observed another.
"And yet he remains the worst player in the Portugal team," commented another fan on Instagram.

Others joked about Lionel Messi having more international accolades despite Cristiano Ronaldo perceivably beating him on the fitness front.

"Still cant win world cup wkwkwkw," quipped one fan.
"messi’s routine : sleep with the wc and wake up to tease ronaldo’s fanbase," joked another.
"How did yall get his “routine” did bro just share it with yall?" asked one fan.

Despite not winning the Euro 2024, Cristiano Ronaldo had a lot of positives to take from his career's last European Championship. After six European Championships, the legendary player ended up as the highest scorer and the highest assist-provider in the tournament's history.

Ronaldo scored 14 goals in six editions, five goals clear of Michel Platini, who is in second place. Cristiano Ronaldo also holds the record for scoring the most goals in Euro qualifiers — 55.
