Former Arsenal forward Nicolas Pepe was pictured making an obscene gesture while having dinner with adult star Teanna Trump. The winger was previously a £72 million signing for the north London side but failed to live up to the high expectations and now plays for Villarreal.

After his blockbuster move to the Gunners in 2019, Pepe struggled to get going, scoring 27 and assisting 21 goals in 112 appearances across three seasons. He has since played for LOSC Lille (on loan), Trabzonspor and Villarreal.

For the Yellow Submarine, he has scored once and assisted twice in 11 games after joining them on a free this summer.

When Graeme Souness tipped Nicolas Pepe to be a star at Arsenal

In 2020, football pundit and former Liverpool captain, Graeme Souness tipped Nicolas Pepe to become a star at Arsenal. He had also compared the winger to the Gunners' all-time highest goal scorer, Thiery Henry.

The Ivory Coast international was signed for a then-club-record fee after an impressive season with LOSC Lille, during which he bagged 23 goals and 12 goals in 43 appearances.

The winger failed to succeed at the club and saw his contract with the team terminated in 2023. However, after joining the Gunners, the sky was the limit for the Ivorian, with Souness saying on SkySports (via The Independent):

“I think there is a real, real player in there. You think of their best ever player Thierry [Henry]. He came here and didn’t have a great first season, took some time. I see Pepe being a star here, great feet, electric and still a baby.”

Nicolas Pepe joined Turkish side Trabzonspor after he left Arsenal. He scored six goals and provided three assists in 23 appearances in one year with the side.
