Ex-Manchester United star Andreas Pereira hits Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic Siuuu celebration after scoring against Man City at Etihad, fans react

Fans have reacted on social media as former Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira brought out Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic "Siuuu" celebration after scoring against Manchester City. The Fulham midfielder scored the first goal of their Premier League clash, which took place at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, October 5.

Pereira gave Fulham the lead in the 26th minute. The former Manchester United midfielder was in the right place at the right time to direct a perfect back-heel chip from Raul Jimenez beyond goalkeeper Ederson.

The 28-year-old was delighted with his strike, as he performed Cristiano Ronaldo's "Siuuu" celebration with Manchester City fans looking on. It is worth noting that Ronaldo played for their neighborhood rivals Red Devils across two stints. Social media erupted with fans posting comments like these:

"The goat got the streets, no player ever does a messi celebration," one fan said.
"GOAT FOR A REASON," another fan added with a picture of Ronaldo.
"He knows who the greatest of all time is!!! Ronaldo!" another fan claimed.
"United legend forever," a fan said.
"Pereira's performance at the Etihad was nothing short of electrifying!" a fan wrote.
"Andreas Pereira just pulled a Ronaldo like he was auditioning for a football commercial next step, a dramatic slow-motion celebration and a flashy haircut," another fan added.

The game eventually ended in Manchester City's favor, with the Cityzens beating the Cottagers 3-2. After Pereira's strike, a brace from Mateo Kovacic (32' and 47') gave City the lead. Jeremy Doku added another in the 82nd minute before Rodrigo Muniz scored a consolation goal for Fulham in the 88th minute.

Why Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo became synonymous with Manchester United in his first stint at the club, before leaving for Real Madrid in 2009. However, he returned to Old Trafford in 2021, with many expecting the legendary forward to bring back United's glory days. Things did not go as planned though, as he left the Red Devils in November 2022.

Ronaldo refused to come on as a substitute in a match against Tottenham Hotspur in October 2022. He also walked out of Old Trafford before the match ended, and mere weeks later, he slammed manager Erik ten Hag in an interview with Piers Morgan. He notably stated that he did not respect the manager while lashing out at the club's owners.

Manchester United decided to terminate his contract by mutual agreement in November 2022 and he entered the FIFA World Cup as a free agent. In January 2023, he joined Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, where he has played ever since.
