"Ghosted like he always does", "Solid 2/10" - Fans slam Manchester United star's performance for national team at Euro 2024
Fans on social media slammed Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund's performance during Denmark's 1-1 draw against Slovenia in the 2024 Euro Championships on Sunday, June 16. The MHPArena in Stuttgart, Germany, hosted the clash.
Denmark are drawn in Group C for the 2024 Euro alongside England, Serbia, and Slovenia. They started their European campaign against Slovenia on Sunday. Christian Eriksen broke the deadlock in the 17th minute to give his side an early lead, with an assist from Jonas Wind. Erik Janza scored an equalizer in the second half (77') making the scoreline 1-1.
Meanwhile, Manchester United's Rammus Hojlund's below-average performance against Slovenia caught the attention of fans. The 21-year-old had only one shot on target, which was saved by Jan Oblak. In addition to that, Hojlund was dispossessed twice and lost eight duels.
After the match, fans on X blasted the Manchester United forward for his performance. While some stated that he had a terrible game, a few affirmed that Hojlund is not a big-match star.

PSG join Manchester United in race for 19-year-old midfielder - Reports
Luis Enrique's Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign Benfica star Joao Neves.
As per transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano, several European clubs are interested in signing the young Benfica defensive midfielder. Last season, he made 55 appearances for the Portuguese side across all competitions, recording three goals and two assists.
As per the aforementioned report, Manchester United and Arsenal have been monitoring the Portuguese midfielder's situation for months. Casemiro is expected to leave the Old Trafford outfit in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Sofyan Amrabat will be returning to Fiorentina after the end of his loan spell.
Benfica have a release clause of €120 million in Neves' contract, which will expire in 2028. Apart from the 19-year-old, the Red Devils are also looking to sign Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite this summer.
