"Garnacho to Saudi?", "Youtube video incoming" - Fans react as Manchester United star poses question to Cristiano Ronaldo on Instagram
Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho has sent fans into meltdown following a two-word message to Cristiano Ronaldo on Instagram. The Argentinean forward is a huge fan of the Portuguese superstar and has regularly copied his celebration after scoring for the Red Devils.
Garnacho broke into the scenes at Old Trafford under former manager Erik ten Hag in the 2022-23 campaign. He briefly shared the pitch (six times) with his idol during Cristiano Ronaldo's second stint with Manchester United.
On Tuesday, Garnacho posted Ronaldo's photograph on social media with the following caption:
"What's coming?" wrote Garnacho.
His activity generated huge curiosity among fans, who took to social media to express their opinion.
One fan reckoned that Garnacho was on his way to Saudi Arabia to team up with the Portuguese at Al-Nassr, posting:
"Garnacho to Saudi?"
Another added:
"Send Garnacho to Saudi and bring Ronaldo back!!"
Another tweeted that Garnacho would like it at Al-Nassr alongside Ronaldo, commenting:
"Garnacho’s gonna love it at Al Nassr with Ronaldo, good luck to him"
Many fans were convinced that Alejandro Garnacho would make an appearance on Ronaldo's show on YouTube. One fan stated:
"This Garnacho and Ronaldo YouTube collab is going to break the internet, I can’t wait."
Another added:
"Cristiano Ronaldo X Alejandro Garnacho. What's cooking??"
Another quipped:
"Are we going to see Garnacho on Ronaldo's YouTube channel?"
Alejandro Garnacho has registered eight goals and four assists from 23 games across competitions for Manchester United this season.
Will Cristiano Ronaldo rejoin Manchester United next year?
Former Manchester United forward Louis Saha believes Cristiano Ronaldo could make a return to the Premier League next summer. The Portuguese's contract with Al-Nassr expires at the end of this season.
Speaking recently to Casino Utan Spelpaus, Saha insisted that his former Red Devils teammate is aging like fine wine.
“I don't know if Ronaldo will come back to the Premier League, because there’s nothing that you can predict with this guy, so it’s hard to know for sure. Who would have said he would have scored that amount of goals by now? This guy is chasing 1000. I don't know what to say," said Saha.
He continued:
“Ronaldo has eyes on the stuff that normal people don't have. I would still think that whatever he's got in his mind, he's capable of doing it because he's obsessed. Perhaps a chairman wants to take a chance on him. There are still a lot of things that Ronaldo can do – he’s ageing like a fine wine.”
However, with Manchester United preparing to usher in a new era under Ruben Amorim, their prodigal son might not be on the agenda.
