"Gave his everything on the pitch", "Top notch once again" - Fans hail Liverpool star after 2-2 draw against Arsenal

Liverpool fans on X have praised Ibrahima Konate after he had a solid defensive performance during their 2-2 draw against Arsenal. The two sides locked horns in their Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, October 27.

Bukayo Saka gave the Gunners the lead in the ninth minute with an excellent finish into the roof of the net. Virgil van Dijk headed home from a corner nine minutes later to level the scores. However, the hosts took the lead going into half-time via Mikel Merino's 43rd-minute header following a free-kick.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, second-half injuries to Gabriel Magalhaes and Jurrien Timber helped Liverpool get back into the game. Mohamed Salah netted from a counter-attack in the 81st minute to seal a vital away point for the Reds.

One Liverpool player that stood out was Ibrahima Konate. The Frenchman was a rock at the back, completing 54 passes from 62 attempts with an accuracy of 87 percent. He won both his tackles, made six clearances and six recoveries, and won three duels, losing zero in the process.

"It’s a really good moment" - Gary Neville praises Liverpool star for his 'perfect' pass during 2-2 Arsenal draw

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has credited Darwin Nunez for maintaining his composure and finding the right pass for Mohamed Salah's leveler during their 2-2 draw against Arsenal.

Nunez made his third Premier League start of the season ahead of the injured Diogo Jota. He had a relatively quiet game up front. However, he was called into action when Trent Alexander-Arnold delivered a brilliant across-the-pitch cross in the 81st minute.

The Uruguayan timed his run to perfection before delivering a good pass to Salah, who buried the ball into the bottom-left corner. Neville was impressed as he said (via Rousing the Kop):

“At times his [Alexander-Arnold’s] passing hasn’t been right but he’s world-class on the ball. There’s space in behind and it’s a really good moment for Darwin Nunez this. So often he doesn’t find the right pass but it’s perfect for Salah.”

Nunez has made nine appearances for Liverpool this season across competitions, scoring two goals and registering one assist.
