Germany star unveils new pink hairstyle ahead of Spain clash at EURO 2024

Germany and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Robert Andrich has unveiled a brand new haircut ahead of his nation's quarterfinal clash against Spain at Euro 2024. The defensive midfielder has opted for a bright neon-pink mohawk, which will surely make him impossible to miss when the hosts take on La Roja on Friday.

The recently crowned Bundesliga winner is a new face in the Die Mannschaft midfield, making the first of his nine appearances in November 2023. However, the 29-year-old has been ever-present for his country at the ongoing European Championships, starting all four of their matches so far.

Talking about his new haircut, Andrich said that his decision won't come as a shock to those who know him well. He said (via Metro):

"I’ve been thinking about getting a new colour for a while. Those who have been following me for a while or my friends and family won’t be surprised."

Robert Andrich will be keen to mark his 10th cap for Germany with a win against Spain, a side they haven't beaten in nearly a decade.

"We will still be in the tournament for a while" - Germany midfielder Toni Kroos ahead of Euro 2024 clash against Spain

Legendary German midfielder Toni Kroos is confident about his nation's chances in their upcoming Euro 2024 quarterfinal against Spain. The former Los Blancos midfielder has already announced that he will retire from football after the ongoing tournament.

The 34-year-old is retiring at the top of his game, having enjoyed a magnificent career with six UEFA Champions League crowns, six FIFA Club World Cups, one FIFA World Cup, and seven domestic league titles. The only major prize missing from his cabinet is the European Championships, and Kroos is confident this German team can claim the trophy this summer.

Kroos previously retired from the national team in 2021 but agreed to return for one final attempt at the Euros on home soil. Talking about Germany's chances in the tournament, Kroos said (via Metro):

"We will still be in the tournament for a while. I don’t think tomorrow will be my last game. I think we’ll see each other again, and I look forward to it."
"The idea of returning was tied to the goal of winning the Euros. If I didn’t see the chance of achieving it with the team, I wouldn’t have done it."

After winning his sixth UEFA Champions League title with Real Madrid in 2023/24, Kroos will be hoping to bow out of the sport by leading Germany to the Euro 2024 trophy.
