Social media exploded into life after Spain were crowned the champions of Europe after they beat Gareth Southgate's England 2-1 on Sunday, July 14, in Berlin. Fans from across the world raved about the cohort of young prodigies in La Roja, who propelled Luis de la Fuente's side to a perfect run in Euro 2024. Some of their reactions to X are as follows:

"Imagine getting cooked by 17 and 22 years old kid," commented one Spain fan, referring to Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams.

The Euro 2024 finals was a closely fought nail-biter with no team giving an inch to the other. While Spain were tactically fluid, the English side was brimming with individual brilliance. They had the likes of Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, and Harry Kane.

After a cagey first half, Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal caught the English defense napping just two minutes into the second half. Inside the penalty box, Nico Williams received an immaculate pass from Lamine Yamal. He guided it away from Jordan Pickford and into the net to make it 1-0 for La Roja.

An equalizer came from the English side in the 73rd minute courtesy of a left-footed tracer bullet from Cole Palmer. Bukayo Saka dribbled his way towards the center of the pitch and passed the ball to Jude Bellingham.

The Real Madrid midfielder had the vision to spot the run of Palmer and produced a perfectly weighted ball for Palmer to take a shot. The ball cannoned into the net after beating the outstretched palms of Unai Simon.

The match seemed to be heading for the extra time, but Mikel Oyarzabal had other ideas. The substitute distributed the ball to Marc Cucurella on the left flank, who ran forward with it and produced a pin-point return cross to Mikel Oyarzabal.

The Real Sociedad made no mistake and scored the decisive goal in the 86th minute for La Roja to make them the champions of Europe.
