"Greatness takes time" - Fans react as Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal's reported training schedule when he was 13 years old surfaces

Lamine Yamal is currently the most talked about teenager in world football. The 17-year-old helped Spain win a fourth European Championship title, setting many records in the process.

Yamal just turned 17, but his displays on the pitch ooze confidence, maturity, and technical astuteness. In an Instagram post, Youth Soccer Central (via FC Motivate) has revealed the training schedule of the Barcelona wonderkid when he was 13.

According to the post, Yamal trained every day of the week. On Mondays, he trained for four hours comprising individual and team training. On Tuesdays, the Spaniard worked on his fitness and engaged in small-sided matches for three-and-a-half hours.

During midweek, he practiced his shooting followed by recovery for about two-and-a-half hours. The following day, he repeated Monday's routine of individual and team training for four hours. On Fridays, Yamal focused on building his agility and speed. Saturdays were game days, while Sundays were reserved for recovery and video.

Lamal is one of the hottest talents in football at the moment. As per Transfermarkt, he has a market value of about €120 million.

According to Football365, Lamine Yamal is eyeing a new contract at Barcelona. This comes after his exploits at Euro 2024, where he won the tournament with Spain and was named Young Player of the Tournament.

The 17-year-old's current contract with the Catalonian club doesn't end until 2026. However, following a terrific season for club and country, he hopes to get an improved deal with Barcelona.

The report also claims that Yamal's father, Mounir Nasraoui, has identified Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City as possible clubs for his son if the Blaugrana fail to meet the player's conditions.
