"Have to look after him and do everything possible so he can adapt quickly" - Vinicius Jr on Kylian Mbappe following his Real Madrid move

Vinicius Jr emphasized the importance of supporting Kylian Mbappe as he adjusts to his new environment at Real Madrid. He emphasized the team’s responsibility to help Mbappe settle in and become comfortable with the new club.

Kylian Mbappe joined Los Blancos on a bossman transfer in June from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The saga finally came to an end after rumors of him joining the La Liga champions some years earlier.

After Mbappe’s much-anticipated move to Real Madrid, there have been some concerns that his arrival will cause disagreement in the dressing room. This is due to the fact that Real Madrid’s two Brazilian wingers, Vinicius and Rodrygo, were both on fire last season.

However, Vinicius Jr, one of the favorites to win the 2024 Ballon d'Or, has dispelled these concerns. He reassured fans and the media that there would be no issues with them playing together.

On what he and his fellow Real Madrid teammates need to do to help Mbappe excel at Los Blancos, he said via Madrid Xtra on X (formerly Twitter):

"It's going to be brutal, and I hope we can do great things. We have to take care of him and do everything we can so that he can adapt quickly. It is always difficult to reach another club, but we have already done that with Bellingham, who arrived last season and excelled."

Kylian Mbappe left Les Parisiens as the highest goal scorer in the club's history, as he scored 256 goals in 308 appearances. He also won a plethora of trophies during his time in the French capital.

Kylian Mbappe talks about his competition with Vinicius Jr at Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe said that he won’t find it difficult to pair with Vinicius Jr at Los Blancos but rather, they will make a formidable combination. Just like Vinicius, Mbappe prefers playing on the left on the front three, and it looked like both could get into a battle of wills for the position. The French forward, however, says he has no problem playing in any position up front and that he’d be glad to feature alongside Vinicius.

During his unveiling at the Santiago Bernabeu, the French forward said (via GOAL)

"I will play wherever the coach (Ancelotti) makes me play. In Paris, I played in all three positions. In Monaco too. The important thing is to be in good physical shape. The position I will play in is a detail."

He added on the Brazilian:

"Vinicius is a unique player, a very great player. I will be very happy to play with him, as with all the other players. Great players know how to play together, I think. He has been incredible in recent seasons. It is up to me to adapt to the team. I will do it as quickly as possible to help the team win."

Mbappe will make his debut for Real Madrid in their UEFA Super Cup match against Atlanta on August 14.
