"Have no place in this club", "Proper clowns" - Chelsea fans rip into Blues duo after their 2-0 loss to Newcastle in EFL Cup
Chelsea fans have blasted the defensive duo of Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi on X after they struggled in their 2-0 loss to Newcastle United. The Blues have been knocked out of the EFL Cup following their Round of 16 defeat at St. James' Park on Wednesday, October 30.
Disaster struck for the Blues in the 23rd minute when Badiashile attempted to play out from the back. However, he played a poor pass into the path of Renato Veiga, which resulted in the latter losing the ball. It led to Alexander Isak finishing into the bottom corner.
Axel Disasi then scored an own goal three minutes later after Joe Willock flicked the ball following Isak's cross into the box. Chelsea attempted to launch a comeback but never looked like getting back into the game as they fell to a 2-0 defeat.
Disasi has a poor game at right-back, making zero tackles, scoring an own goal, and losing four duels. Badiashile's decision-making on the night was poor and he never looked comfortable in possession.
One Chelsea fan reacted:
"Disasi and Badiashile have no place in the club. I already told you about Adarabioyo too. Sooooo painful to watch."
Another fan tweeted:
"Get Disasi and Badiashile out asap, proper clowns. Include Nkunku with them too, this trash player always wasting chances, proper pen merchant."
Other fan reactions can be viewed below:
"Badiashile and Disasi are so terrible, these guyz are always playing against us," one fan insisted
"Shambolic and Hideous CB are Disasi and Badiashile," one fan commented
"Get Disasi and Badiashile out of this club," another added
"Disasi. Badiashile. Felix. Dewsbury-Hall. Jorgensen. They shouldn’t be here. Get them new clubs," another tweeted
"If losing on all cup competitions means I don’t have to watch Badiashile and Disasi together, then so be it," another chimed in
