"Having him and Vinicius on the same team is amazing" - Real Madrid bound star makes honest claim about Kylian Mbappe
Real Madrid-bound wonderkid Endrick has made an honest claim about new mega-signing Kylian Mbappe. Los Blancos notably announced the Frenchman's five-year contract just two days after they lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy at Wembley. Endrick's announcement came in December 2022, but the wonderkid will only move to the Santiago Bernabeu after he turns 18.
The forward's birthday is on July 21, which will see him make the move to Spain shortly after, ahead of the upcoming season. Endrick, who entered the limelight with his performances at Palmeiras, is looking forward to playing at Los Blancos. He is particularly excited about playing alongside their latest signing Mbappe, as he revealed in an interview (via Madrid Xtra):
“Mbappe is an incredible player. I think it's always been a dream to play with him and now it will happen. I'm very happy and I hope it will be a beautiful story.”
He recognized the level he would have to reach and maintain to play alongside the superstar French forward:
“Mbappe? A different player. Always scoring many goals for his club and also in two World Cups. Having him and Vinicius on the same team is amazing, but I know it will require a lot of work on my part to keep me at the same level.”
The forward also added:
"Mbappe is the best player on FIFA. I never take him off my Ultimate Team.”
Kylian Mbappe is easily one of the best players in the world currently. He scored 44 goals and provided 10 assists across 48 appearances in all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain last season. The 25-year-old has already led France to the finals of two World Cups, winning one in 2018. He looks set to exceed expectations with Real Madrid.
Real Madrid do not see issues with assimilating new signing Kylian Mbappe within the squad
There have been questions about how well Kylian Mbappe might connect with the dressing room at Real Madrid. However, according to Marca (via Madrid Universal), this issue doesn't concern the club's hierarchy, who see head coach Carlo Ancelotti as capable of figuring things out.
Notably, Mbappe tends to play off the left wing, as does Vinicius Junior. Rumors about a potential disappointment with playing time for the Brazilian have risen. However, Ancelotti reportedly said during a club meeting (via Madrid Universal):
“How is a player who scores one goal per game, going to be a problem? Zero. That ‘problem’ doesn’t exist."
Kylian Mbappe has made a name for himself, thanks to his powerful and consistent goalscoring abilities. He will hope to continue in a similar vein of form at Real Madrid.
