Arne Slot on Liverpool's 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the Premier League
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot shared his thoughts on his squad's performance against Arsenal in their ninth Premier League clash of the season. The Reds maintained 55% possession and had four shots on target.
The Dutch manager appeared to be pleased with his side's display at the Emirates. While speaking in the post-match conference, Slot said (via Sports Illustrated):
"Going two times behind against a very strong and good Arsenal team, to get a point is pleasing ton see because we had to play an away game in Europe this week...To go two times behind with the fans being so loud and the team coming back so strong in the second half, I didn’t feel we deserved to go in 2-1 behind."
"It’s very pleasing to see we had the energy and we were so strong to fight back in the game. We did really good but we were really strong today," added the former Feyenoord boss.
Following this draw, Arne Slot's men are second in the Premier League table with 22 points, only a point behind table-toppers Manchester City. Liverpool will face Brighton & Hove Albion twice in the upcoming week. First, in the Round four of the EFL Cup on October 30 at Falmer Stadium, followed by a Premier League clash on November 2 at Anfield.
