"He needs to retire", "Destroying clubs since 2019" - Fans react as Cristiano Ronaldo misses match-saving penalty in Al-Nassr King's Cup exit

Al-Nassr fans have blasted Cristiano Ronaldo on X after he missed a penalty in the 96th minute during their 1-0 loss to Al-Taawoun. The Knights of Najd were subsequently knocked out of the King's Cup of Champions in the Round of 16 on Tuesday, October 29.

Stefano Pioli and Co. struggled to gel as a unit for most of the contest and looked lethargic going forward. Al-Taawoun took full advantage of this in the 71st minute when Waleed Al Ahmad headed home following a corner.

Al-Nassr were granted a lifeline in the fourth minute of stoppage time when Mohammed Marran won his side a penalty. However, Cristiano Ronaldo ended up blasting the ball over the bar, leading to his side being knocked out of the King's Cup.

Ronaldo didn't have the best of games, landing one shot on target from three attempts, missing one big chance in the process. In addition, he completed 24 passes from an attempted 35 with an accuracy of 69 percent.
