“He’s forgotten how to play football”, “Disgusts me so much” - Fans slam 26-year-old Barcelona star after 2-1 defeat to Las Palmas

Barcelona fans on X have blasted Jules Kounde after he struggled to make an impact during their shock 2-1 LaLiga defeat against Las Palmas. The two sides squared off against each other at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Saturday, November 30.

La Blaugrana were dealt an early blow as Alejandro Balde had to be subbed off in the 25th minute after a nasty collision. Las Palmas shocked the hosts in the 49th minute after Sandro Ramirez scored from a counter-attack to break the deadlock against the run of play.

The in-form Raphinha leveled the scores for Barcelona in the 61st minute after he found the bottom-right corner from outside the box. However, Fabio Silva took advantage of some poor defending to give the visitors the lead in the 67th minute, causing a massive upset in the process.

Barcelona fans were furious with Kounde's performance, with a section accusing him of playing too safe. The Frenchman also had a poor outing in their 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo last weekend, when he made an error that led to a goal.

The 26-year-old created zero chances going forward, lost two duels, and made zero interceptions before being replaced in the 56th minute by Hansi Flick for Hector Fort.

One Barcelona fan posted:

"There is something serious wrong with kounde today. It's like he's forgotten how to play football."

Another fan tweeted:

"Kounde has zero offensive threat he disgusts me so much."

Other fans reacted below:

"Another ONE BAD GAME from Kounde," one fan commented
"You never feel really secure when Kounde gets the ball. Rarely if ever comes up with a positive solution in the build up, mostly hoping he just passes it back so we can continue possession. Definitely replaceable at some point," another added
"This kounde performance offensively is an eyesore," one fan tweeted
"Any sort of light pressure and kounde just melts in possession," another pointed out
"Kounde is gen1ly the worst player in this Barca team after Gerrard martin, #they call him the best rb itw lmao," another chimed in
