“He takes advantage of this” - Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti explains reason behind Jude Bellingham fine goalscoring form
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has shared his thoughts on Jude Bellingham's recent goal-scoring form. The Englishman has scored five goals in the last month and is currently in fine form for Los Blancos.
Bellingham was in excellent goalscoring form for the legendary Spanish outfit last season. The former Borussia Dortmund star scored 23 goals and provided 13 assists in 42 games in his debut campaign. He helped the Madrid-based club to their 15th UEFA Champions League trophy along with a LaLiga title and the Supercopa de Espana.
Speaking to the press about the English midfielder rediscovering his scoring touch, Ancelotti said via AS:
“Not much has changed for him personally. What has changed is the dynamics of the team: now we have more movement up front, and he takes advantage of this. He’s been scoring, which is important, but his attitude has remained the same.”
Carlo Ancelotti will hope Jude Bellingham maintains his goalscoring form for Real Madrid ahead of his side's UEFA Champions League clash with Atalanta on December 10. The European champions sit in 24th place in the table and are in danger of being knocked out of the competition.
"After Bellingham's goal, the team had more clarity and good ideas." Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti hails Jude Bellingham's performance in Girona win
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has hailed Jude Bellingham's performance in the side's 3-0 win over Girona in the league on Saturday, December 7. The English midfielder was at his best in the match, scoring the opening goal and setting another goal to help the team win.
Bellingham bagged the opener with a fine strike in the 36th minute to help the reigning Spanish champions head into the break with the advantage. He followed that up by setting up Arda Guler in the 55th minute to double the lead. Kylian Mbappe completed the scoring in the 62nd minute.
Speaking about the midfielder's performance, Ancelotti told the media after the match via 90min:
"Bellingham is scoring his fifth goal in a row and is in good form, He has a bit of fatigue in his leg. He preferred not to take any risks in the last few minutes. He is fine and is available for Tuesday. Arda and Mbappe have scored and Brahim [Diaz] has been fine. [Ferland] Mendy has had a muscle injury. The rest are just knocks, nothing more.
The Los Blancos manager concluded:
"We had to hold on at the start because they pushed hard. We did a good job offensively and then we managed the advantage well. After Bellingham's goal the team had more clarity and good ideas. The second half was very good. We had to hold on because of the injuries and little by little we are going to get better."
Carlo Ancelotti and Jude Bellingham want to help Real Madrid retain the LaLiga title. The Spanish giants sit in second place on the league table, two points behind table-toppers and eternal rivals Barcelona, with a game in hand.
