"How Ronaldo is supposed to win trophies with these type of teammates" - Fans call out Al-Nassr star after their loss to Al-Qadsiah

Al-Nassr fans have taken to X to express their dissatisfaction with the performance of Abdulrahman Ghareeb in their clash against Al-Qadsiah on Friday, November 22. The Saudi Arabian winger produced a performance to forget as the Knights of Najd succumbed to a 2-1 defeat in the Saudi Pro League.

As expected, Al-Nassr entered the contest as favorites and dominated the game early on. Talisman Cristiano Ronaldo fashioned the first chance of the evening as he produced a good strike in the second minute to force a great reflex save from the opposition goalkeeper.

The hosts continued to crank up the pressure, and their efforts finally paid off in the 32nd minute. Ronaldo put his side ahead after receiving a lovely pass from Mohamed Simakan and fired the ball past goalkeeper Koen Casteels from close range.

Five minutes later, Julian Quinones restored parity for Al-Qadsiah. The visitors turned the game on its head in the 50th minute, courtesy of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's strike. Al-Nassr huffed and puffed for a leveler, but it never came through, as the visitors held on to their lead to grab all three points at Al-Awwal Park.

Abdulrahman Ghareeb had a forgettable outing on Friday after being named in the starting lineup in Anderson Talisca’s absence. He missed a huge opportunity to score in the 22nd minute and completed zero dribbles in the match. He won just two out of the seven ground duels he contested.

After the match, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts on his performance. One fan wrote:

''Should have been 3/4 up by half. Game was lot smoother without Talisca but no one to finish the chance. All the chances falling to shit player like Ghareeb cost us the game. All the blame on Pioli for starting his stupid ass over Ayman. Could have even played Otavio at 10.'' @AIwaysRonaldo opined

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr title chase suffers massive hit

Al-Nassr’s defeat against Al-Qadsiah is their first of the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League season and their third across competitions this season. A win on Friday would have bridged the gap between Stefano Pioli’s men and Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad in the title race.

Al-Nassr remain in third position with 22 points from 11 matches, level on points with fourth-placed Al-Shabab and fifth-placed Al-Qadsiah. The Knights of Najd are now six points behind defending champions and leaders Al-Hilal and five points behind second-placed Al-Ittihad, who both have a game in hand.

Stefano Pioli’s men will next be in action against Al-Gharafa in the AFC Champions League on Monday, November 25.
