"I just reckon he would be sloppy" - Jack Grealish names Arsenal star as player he would never ask to babysit newborn daughter for him
Jack Grealish has named Arsenal's Bukayo Saka as the player he would never ask to babysit his newborn daughter. The Manchester City winger recently poked fun at his England teammate on his babysitting skills.
Grealish and his long-term partner Sasha Attwood were blessed wih a daughter at the end of last month. The couple, who have been together for over a year, welcomed baby girl Mila on September 27.
The 29-year-old is currently on international duty with England for their UEFA Nations League matches against Greece and Finland. He spoke to BBC 5 Live Sport ahead of the matches for a fun chat about who he trusts from the England squad to take care of his daughter.
The former Aston Villa talisman poked fun at his title rival, Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, as the teammate he will never trust to babysit.
"The worst? I'm going to go [Bukayo] Saka. I just reckon he would be sloppy, you know, falling asleep and that," Grealish teased the Arsenal star.
When asked who he trusts the most, Grealish named Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane.
"Harry Kane I think. It's [England's] quite a young team so I wouldn't put it on any of the young lads and you know Harry, he's so reliable. One of the oldest lads, so yeah I'd go with Harry."
When reminded about his Manchester City teammate Phil Foden having three kids, Grealish added:
"Well yeah, you could say Phil actually. He's got a fair few hasn't he? [But] yeah, I'm going with Harry Kane."
Manchester City's £100-million man has 38 caps for England so far and recently contributed with his third international goal against Republic of Ireland last month.
Bukayo Saka names two Arsenal stars who have elevated the club
Bukayo Saka has named two of his teammates who he believes have taken Arsenal to another level this season. Speaking to CBS Sports, the winger praised Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz for pushing the club to the next level.
"I’ve always thought Kai’s an unbelievable player. Everyone in the dressing room did too. We’re so happy that he’s showing that," said Saka.
On defender, Jurrien Timber, Saka spoke about the co-ordination between the two players on the Gunners' right wing.
"He gave me a lot of confidence that when he’s one-on-one with an attacker, he’s going to win the ball and give it to me. On the ball, he’s so composed, calm, and confident. He’s a top player, and I’m happy he’s showing it," Saka said.
Mikel Arteta is aiming to end Arsenal's 20-year wait for the Premier League title. They've come narrowly close in the last two seasons but will be hoping to go the distance this campaign.
