“I would like to act in a p*rn film” - Ex-Chelsea forward who annoyed Cristiano Ronaldo with Ballon d'Or claim makes career change admission

Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo's former teammate Fabio Paim has said he is keen to feature in an adult video. The 36-year-old previously came through the Sporting Lisbon youth ranks while the legendary forward was at the club.

Paim was last in the news for asking the Real Madrid legend to give him one of his Ballon d'Or awards, telling The PT Clipes Podcast (via GOAL):

"Cristiano Ronaldo should offer me one of his Ballons d’Or. I said when I was happy that I thought Cristiano Ronaldo could offer me a Ballon d'Or. But it was with humility. If I had half of Cristiano's head, it wouldn't be him and Messi. It would be me, him and Messi and maybe he wouldn't have won the Ballon d'Or that he has. Maybe one of them was mine."

His statement left the legendary forward annoyed at the time and he took to social media to comment on the PT Clips Instagram page:

"Wtf. Who is this guy?"

Paim is now keen to try his hand at another endeavor, telling Tiago Paiva's YouTube channel:

"I would like to act in a p*rn film. I'm serious, it would make my dreams come true. I don't have a girlfriend, I'm single."

Fabio Paim retired in 2021 while playing for the Polish side LZS Starowice to end a career that never really lived up to expectations. He played only 36 professional games throughout his career, scoring twice and laying one assist.

When Fabio Paim revealed why he is not at the level of five-time Ballon d'Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo

Last year, Cristiano Ronaldo's former teammate at Sporting Lisbon, Fabio Paim revealed why he did not achieve as much as the Portuguese legend despite being a highly-rated youngster.

The now-retired winger was highly rated at the time, with the now legendary forward saying of him when he joined Manchester United in 2003 (via The Sun):

"If you think I'm good, wait until you see Fabio Paim."

Ronaldo is famed for his discipline, how well he takes care of his body, and how hard he trains. These proved to be the difference between the multiple Ballon d'Or winner and Paim, with the former Chelsea loanee saying (via The Sun):

“I didn't work the same as them [Ronaldo and Lionel Messi]. I started earning lots of money and had fame way earlier. That led me to a different path, that's why I'm not among them and I don't deserve it."
"I was born with talent. As I was earning lots of money, I got the illusion I didn't need the effort. When I was 13, my monthly wage was €19,000 plus a €150,000 bonus per year."

The former player also pointed at a lack of supervision from those around him played a part, saying:

"It was always going up. It was too fast. I always looked after my family because I had the biggest income at home by 12. My mother was a domestic worker in other people's houses."
"I could spend the money on my stuff and even when I was doing wrong, I was never called to attention. No one said anything because I was so good. Sporting wanted me to play so they let me do whatever I wanted as long as I kept playing at that level.”

Paim went on to have an underwhelming professional carer and will go down as one of the sport's many 'what ifs' following his retirement in 2021. He also spent time in jail on drug trafficking charges back in 2019.
