“I’m going to miss link up with you” - Manchester United trio Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Rashford send message to departing Martial
Manchester United trio Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood sent their farewell messages to Anthony Martial. The French attacker's contract at the club will run out in June, after which he's expected to be departing Old Trafford.
Part of Martial's goodbye message on Instagram reads:
"Dear Manchester United fans, it's with great emotion that I write to you today to say goodbye. After nine incredible years at the club, the time has come for me to turn a new page in my career."
"Since I arrived in 2015, I have had the immense honor of wearing this shirt, and playing in front you, the best supporters in the world! You have been an unwavering support, through the good times and the difficult. Your passion and loyalty have been a constant source of motivation for me."
He added:
"I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you've done for me. Your songs, your love and encouragement for the club are memories that will remain engraved in my heart forever."
Reacting to this post, Bruno Fernandes, who played 105 matches across all competitions with Martial, bagging nine joint goal contributions, commented:
"I'm going to miss link up with you toto."
Greenwood, who spent the season away on loan at Getafe, left a red heart in the comments. Another teammate of Marital's, Rashford wrote:
"So many memories together. Stay blessed brother."
Martial came to Manchester United in the summer of 2015 and has made 317 appearances across all competitions for the club, bagging 90 goals and 47 assists. He won the Europa League, among other trophies, at Old Trafford.

With Anthony Martial set to leave Manchester United, the Red Devils only have Rasmus Hojlund left to lead the line. As a result, the Manchester outfit have been linked with a host of number nines.
Among them is FC Copenhagen's 18-year-old striker Amin Chiakha, who largely plays for his club's youth team. According to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, Manchester City are also looking at the Denmark under-18 international (via TeamTalk).
A move for Chiakha may not seem like the best option for Manchester United at the moment after Hojlund failed to hit the ground running in the 2023-24 campaign. The 21-year-old finished the Premier League season with 10 goals and two assists from 30 appearances.
