"I'm seeing bad habits" - Roy Keane blasts Manchester United star for his timewasting antics against Coventry City

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has blasted Andre Onana for his time-wasting antics as the Red Devils somehow overcame Championship side Coventry City in the FA Cup semifinals.

Manchester United started the game well and deservedly went 3-0 ahead at one point but conceded thrice late in the second half as Coventry City took the game to extra time. However, the Red Devils' blushes were saved as they managed to beat Mark Robins's side 4-2 in penalties.

Roy Keane labeled his former club as 'lucky' to win the game and hit out at the players. The Irishman also highlighted the absence of leaders in the dressing room. Keane said, as quoted by United in Focus:

“The Manchester United players and supporters weren’t going over the top because they were lucky to win. They were almost embarrassed in the end. I don’t like what I see when I watch this United group. I don’t see leaders. They give up chances, they give up goals, we’ve seen it all season and they rode their luck today.”

Roy Keane also hit out at Harry Maguire and keeper Andre Onana and accused the latter of wasting time unnecessarily. He said:

“Maguire said he saw character but I don’t see character. I’m almost getting to the point where I don’t like them. I’m seeing bad habits. The goalkeeper is wasting time at 2-0 up, get on with the game and go and flex your muscles.”

The FA Cup replay will see a replay of the last season's final which saw Manchester City locking horns with Manchester United. Pep Guardiola's side won 2-1 on that occasion and Erik ten Hag's side will be looking for a payback this time out.

Jamie Carragher believes Erik ten Hag will be sacked by Manchester United this summer

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher reckons Erik ten Hag will be axed by Manchester United in the summer. In the aftermath of the Red Devils' scrappy win against Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-finals, Carragher predicted the Dutchman to face the sacking.

The Sky Sports pundit said:

"I think that result today has just cost a Man United manager his job. I don't see how he stays, I don't. It's just performance after performance and that is just like (gestures). I would imagine that dressing room is probably the most embarrassed dressing room you could probably remember of a team who has won a big game."

Carragher added:

"Can you imagine that dressing room when you go in they're all sat there looking each other, they don't know whether to celebrate, is it a big thing that you're in a cup final and got through? They're probably all just sat there looking at each other."

Expectations were massive from Ten Hag when he was appointed by Manchester United in the summer of 2022 following his exciting stint with Ajax. However, the Red Devils have been thoroughly inconsistent under him and look resigned to missing out on the top-four this season.
