"I'm sure he can find me anywhere" - When Mohamed Salah named former Chelsea star along with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as dream teammates

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is undoubtedly a modern-day great, and his numbers and achievements speak for themselves. The Egyptian king once chose another Premier League legend, Kevin De Bruyne, as the teammate he’d most like to play alongside, alongside both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

After struggling to make an impact at Chelsea, Salah returned to the Premier League in 2017 and has since taken the world by storm. Over his seven-year spell at Liverpool, he has scored an incredible 216 goals in 357 appearances, while winning the PFA Players' Player of the Year award twice, among numerous other honors.

Salah is already cemented as a modern-day great and a Liverpool legend. When asked which player he would prefer as a teammate, he chose Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, while also expressing admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Salah explained that the midfielder’s ability to pick out his runs would make them a perfect pairing on the pitch.

Messi or Ronaldo, but if I pick one in the Premier League then I’d choose Kevin. He has vision, I’m sure he can find me anywhere with the ball so I would say Messi, Ronaldo and then Kevin. He’s a great player, the whole [City] team is great. But I just try to play my game and not focus on anyone else,” Salah said in 2023. (via Mirror)

Ronaldo and Messi are indeed at the tail end of their careers. But the pair still continue to break records in their respective leageus, while also playing key roles for their international sides, Portugal and Argentina.

Salah, meanwhile, shares a similar path with De Bruyne, as both were once labeled Chelsea rejects. De Bruyne left the Blues for Wolfsburg in January 2014, the same time Salah joined Chelsea. The Belgian then moved to Manchester City in 2015, while Salah joined Liverpool two years later.

Since then, their rivalry on the pitch has certainly played a significant role in shaping the modern-day Premier League.

Pundit claims Mohamed Salah is set for Saudi Arabia move; poised to earn more than Cristiano Ronaldo

Doubts continue to linger over Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season. While there have been discussions about a potential extension, rumors persist that he is eyeing a move to Saudi Arabia.

Former Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor believes the 32-year-old is likely to secure a record-breaking deal in Saudi Arabia, one that would see him earn more than Cristiano Ronaldo’s current wages at Al-Nassr.

“I know Salah’s going. I’ve got a source that told me Salah’s definitely going. Saudi, on a record contract. I’m hearing that he will earn more than [Cristiano] Ronaldo. He’ll be the face of the football over there. You can’t turn that down if you’re Mo Salah. He’s done everything at Liverpool, hasn’t he? I think he would have signed a new contract by now [if he was staying], and it’s an offer he can’t turn down," he said.

The coming months will be crucial in determining how the situation unfolds, as Salah will be free to negotiate with other clubs starting in January. Liverpool will undoubtedly want to keep him, especially given his strong start to the season.
