"I will adapt" - Kylian Mbappe provides response when asked about his favored position after completing Real Madrid move
Kylian Mbappe has opened up on his favored position upon joining Real Madrid. The Frenchman superstar was officially unveiled as a Los Blancos player in front of thousands of fans at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid announced the signing of the France skipper on a free transfer last month. Mbappe signed a five-year deal at the Spanish capital club and has reportedly received €125 million as a signing-on bonus.
The 25-year-old can play across the frontline and has played everywhere in the attacking third for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and France. The Frenchman has insisted that he has no preference in terms of playing position and will play wherever the manager wants to.
Kylian Mbappe said, as quoted by Madrid Xtra on X (formerly Twitter):
“Where do I want to play? I can play everywhere in attack. I will adapt to what the coach asks.”
Kylian Mbappe has been a long-term target for Real Madrid and Los Blancos made multiple attempts to sign him in the past. In the summer of 2022, the Frenchman looked almost destined to join the Spanish capital club on a free but changed his mind at the eleventh hour.
The versatile forward has made 308 appearances for PSG over the years, scoring 256 goals and providing 108 assists. He is capped 84 times for France and has scored 48 goals while providing 35 assists.
