"I will continue with my idea until the end" - Amorim provides response when asked about Marcus Rashford after Manchester United loss

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has opened up about Marcus Rashford's future at the club after the Red Devils lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers on December 26, 2024. The 2-0 loss at the Molineux Stadium was their eighth in the Premier League this season. The Red Devils are currently groveling at number 14 on the league table.

Rashford has been sidelined since the arrival of Portuguese tactician Amorim. This season, he has played just 24 games at an average of 63 minutes per match. Rashford has contributed only seven goals and three assists for the Premier League giants in 2024-25.

According to a report by BBC (posted on X by @UtdDistrict), Amorim talked about Rashford after the loss against Wolverhampton. The Portuguese tactician said:

"It's always the same reason it's going to be. We have to be the same professionals, the same guys, winning or losing. Losing, I have to be stronger. I will continue with my idea until the end."

However, the Englishman's £375,000-a-week contract doesn't run out until 2028 and it will be difficult to find suitors who can match the player's wages if the Red Devils are willing to sell Rashford.

In a recent interview with journalist Henry Winter, Marcus Rashford opened up about his departure from the club:

“For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave, it's going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.
"If I know that a situation is already bad, I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave, I'll make a statement and it will be from me."

Marcus Rashford wasn't included in Manchester United's lineup in their last three games across competitions. His last appearance came in their 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on December 12. However, he failed to register a goal contribution.
