"If an offer comes in, it has to be looked at" - Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr teammate says he'll consider return to Europe in the future

Cristiano Ronaldo's teammate Aymeric Laporte has admitted he would consider leaving Al-Nassr in favor of returning to Europe if the right offer came in. However, he also denied any approaches by Real Madrid despite being linked with a transfer to the LaLiga giants this summer.

Laporte joined Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League last summer for a reported fee of €27.5 million. The former Manchester City centre-back has made 43 appearances for the Saudi club across all competitions since then, scoring four goals. Unfortunately, he was unable to inspire them to silverware last season.

The 30-year-old shone for Spain over the summer, helping La Roja win Euro 2024. He was subsequently linked with a return to Spain, with Real Madrid and Athletic Club both reportedly in the running for his signature. However, nothing transpired from this, leaving Laporte with no choice but to continue ply his trade in the SPL.

Laporte recently told MARCA (via Caught Offside):

"There was nothing, no approach [from Real Madrid]. In Saudi Arabia, I’m far from my normal surroundings and family. I could consider in future returning to Europe. If an offer comes in, it has to be looked at."

Laporte is contracted to Al-Nassr until the summer of 2026.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr dealt blow as Adrien Rabiot rules out move to Saudi Pro League this summer: Fabrizio Romano

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr have been dealt a significant blow after Fabrizio Romano reported that Adrien Rabiot has no interest in joining a Saudi club this summer. The Frenchman is currently a free agent after leaving Juventus in July and has already rejected the Super Lig.

The Knights of Najd have been linked with several top European midfielders this summer like Casemiro, Kevin De Bruyne, and Bruno Fernandes to help bolster their midfield. They were reportedly also keen on Rabiot, however, the 29-year-old, appears to have shut the move down.

Rabiot would have been a phenomenal acquisition for Al-Nassr. The France international scored 22 goals and provided 15 assists in 212 appearances across all competitions for Juventus. He helped them win four trophies over the past five seasons.

In addition, Rabiot played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at the Old Lady between 2019 and 2021, sharing the pitch 70 times across competitions.
