“Impressed me not” - Germany star provides hilarious response when asked about Jude Bellingham

Germany striker Niclas Fullkrug has hilariously admitted that England midfielder Jude Bellingham hasn't impressed him. The 20-year-old scored the Three Lions' Euro 2024 winner against Serbia in their opening game earlier this week.

Bellingham is coming off a superb debut season with Real Madrid - helping them to three titles - including La Liga and UEFA Champions League - contributing 23 goals and 13 assists in 42 games across competitions.

Meanwhile, Fullkrug has had a good start himself to his Euro 2024 campaign, coming off the bench in both games - scoring once - as Julian Nagelsmann's side booked their place in the knockouts with a game to score.

Meanwhile, Bellingham will look to continue his golden form for club and country as Gareth Southgate's side take on 1992 winners Denmark in their second group game on Frankfurt. Ahead of that clash, Fullkrug - who was asked about Bellingham's form - responded with a laugh (as per Madrid Xtra via Hayters TV):

“How impressed am I with Jude Bellingham? Impressed me not (laughs).”

Southgate's side are one of the contenders to go all the way in Germany this summer, looking to end a 58-year wait for a major title since their 1966 FIFA World Cup win at home.

Jude Bellingham is one of the best young players in the game at the moment. Euro 2024 marks his third major tournament for the Three Lions, and he's yet to celebrate his 21st birthday.

The Real Madrid attacker has four goals and five assists in 30 games for England since his debut in a 3-0 friendly win over the Republic of Ireland in November 2020.

Bellingham played three times from the bench - logging a cumulative 55 minutes - at his first major tournament at Euro 2020, where Southgate's side lost on penalties to Italy in the Wembley final. The Englishman was an unused substitute in both the semifinal and final.

By the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Bellingham was a regular starter for the Three Lions - bagging a goal and an assist in five games - as Southgate's side lost 2-1 to defending champions France in the quarterfinals.

He has now made a rousing start to his and Southgate's side's campaign at Euro 2024. An impressive run will boost his Ballon d'Or credentials following his exploits with Los Blancos last season.
