“Incredible player, but now I think he’s a little bit tired” - Ex-England manager offers opinion on Jude Bellingham at Euro 2024
Fabio Capello has heaped praise on England midfielder Jude Bellingham following his impressive showing in the Three Lions' 1-0 win against Serbia in Euro 2024. The Real Madrid star scored a fantastic header in the 13th minute which proved to be the difference between the two sides.
Capello, who formerly managed England and Real Madrid, has hailed Bellingham as an 'incredible player. The Italian also claimed that the 20-year-old looks a bit tired after such a long and hectic season,
The former England manager also marked Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Jamal Musiala as a player to watch while naming Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe as the two best players in Euro 2024.
The former Juventus manager said the following on the Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE podcast:
“I want to see Bellingham as well because I remember in the first six months at Real Madrid, he was fantastic. Incredible player, but now, I think he’s a little bit tired. Musiala is also a good player but for me [Mbappe and Bellingham] is at the top [of my list].”
Bellingham enjoyed a fabulous debut season at Real Madrid following his reported €103 million switch from Borussia Dortmund last summer. He scored 23 goals and provided 13 assists in 42 appearances across competitions as Los Blancos won both La Liga and Champions League.
The young midfielder has also established himself as a key player for England despite his young age. He has already won 30 caps for the Three Lions with four goals and five assists to his name.

Former Real Madrid and Chelsea manager has named Jude Bellingham as the best young footballer on the planet. The 20-year-old has become a key figure for both club and country despite his age.
Mourinho, who has managed some of the greatest players over the years as a manager, has claimed that Bellingham stands out among all young players. The iconic Portuguese manager said:
"For me, Jude Bellingham is the best young player in the world. Looking into the future and just imagining what he can become in a few years."
England find themselves at the top of their Euro 2024 group courtesy of Bellingham's contribution. They take on Denmark on Thursday, June 20, in their second group-stage game of the continental competition.
