Argentina skipper Lionel Messi has been in great form going into 2024 Copa America
Lionel Messi is playing in his first full season in the United States and has had a great start to the 2024 season. His form will be great news for Argentina who are aiming to retain the Copa America title this year.
Before the start of the tournament, Messi played 15 times for Inter Miami this season and has contributed 14 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. This included a tally of 12 goals and nine assists from 12 matches in Major League Soccer (MLS).
It is, however, worth mentioning that Lionel Messi had a few injury concerns at the start of the new season. He missed four matches in the league in March due to a muscular injury and also had a leg injury which saw him miss a game in May.
