“It’s not done and dusted yet!” - Roy Keane makes hilarious claim as his daughter’s fiancee Taylor Harwood-Bellis scores for England in win vs Ireland

Roy Keane has hilariously joked that things could change quickly in his household after his future son-in-law Taylor Harwood-Bellis scored for England against Ireland. The Manchester United legend praised the young defender and added that he was a nice kid.

Speaking on ITV Sports after England thrashed Ireland 5-0, Keane took a cheeky shot at Harwood-Bellis and said he was not his son-in-law yet.

The former Ireland international said via Yahoo:

"It's not done and dusted yet! Listen, things can change really quickly in the Keane household!"

The Manchester United legend quickly changed his mind and spoke seriously about the Southampton star, saying it was nice to see him making his England debut. He added that the 22-year-old has shown how he can be a goal threat too and said:

"Over the last few months he has got a goal threat even playing for Southampton and it's nice for him. It's good for him to make his debut, he is a bit of a goal threat, he is a nice kid and his family do a great job."

Harwood-Bellis, who made his England debut after Chelsea's Levi Colwill pulled out, was a key part of England's U21 side that won the U21 Euro.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis delighted with debut goal with England

Taylor Harwood-Bellis spoke to the media after his goal against Ireland, saying he was delighted. He added he dreamt about it and wanted to show his capabilities.

"It's some feeling. It's what dreams are made of. This is the pinnacle of football at the senior level. Getting a goal rounded it off nicely. The ambition was to show what I could do. I wanted to get on the pitch and show what I could do in training. I'm striving to be with the senior squad. I've played for the U21s for a long time now - my aim is to be with the seniors," Harwood-Bellis said via Yahoo.

About his goal, the Southampton star added:

"When the ball goes back for the second phase, I always drift to the back post. Jude Bellingham has got unbelievable quality. When he put it into the box, it was a beautiful ball, straight on my head. I love going up for set-pieces and scoring goals. Of course, (it's the goal of my career) by a country mile. I want to stay here. It's one thing getting here but the hardest job is to stay here."

Taylor Harwood-Bellis has played in all 11 Premier League matches this season and has scored once. He also has two goals in as many League Cup matches.
