“It’s going to be crazy” - Kylian Mbappe’s brother Ethan reacts after he’s officially unveiled as Real Madrid player

Kylian Mbappe has finally been unveiled to the world as a new Real Madrid player on Tuesday (July 16) and his younger brother Ethan has shared his thoughts on the move. The France captain officially became a Real Madrid player, fulfilling a lifelong dream of representing the club.

Mbappe was a long-time target for Los Blancos, particularly after emerging as one of the finest players on the planet. In 2022, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) turned down a huge bid for the Frenchman from the Spanish giants, eventually getting him to sign a short-term extension. Mbappe decided to leave Les Parisiens at the end of his contract, signing with Real Madrid for free.

Kylian Mbappe is a boyhood Madrid fan, having visited the club multiple times during his childhood. He has pictures with Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane, and had posters of the club on the walls of his bedroom as a child.

One person who was there to witness the entirety of his obsession with the Spanish side was his younger brother Ethan. The 17-year-old posted on his Instagram story after the unveiling of his brother, acknowledging that it was a dream come true for the 25-year-old.

“A dream that just came true... Keep making us dream. I’m so glad you can join the club of your heart. KM in the white jersey, it's going to be crazy!” Ethan wrote.

Like Kylian, Ethan also ended his association with PSG this summer as he left the club on a permanent transfer. The youngster joined fellow Ligue 1 side Lille as he looks to continue his career in professional football.

Mbappe will wear the number nine shirt at the Santiago Bernabeu, becoming the first player to take the shirt since Karim Benzema. The forward will feature for the side this summer after his participation in the Olympic Games was blocked.

Kylian Mbappe shares thoughts on his position at Real Madrid

New Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappe has revealed in a press conference that he is prepared to play anywhere the club's manager asks him to.

“Where do I want to play? I can play everywhere in attack. I will adapt to what the coach asks," he said.

A great deal was made of his arrival, seeing as he mostly operates on the left of the attack, a position Vinicius Jr has made his in recent years. With Rodrygo also on the books of the Spanish giants, it presents a potential problem for manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Kylian Mbappe has played as a centre-forward on occasion, and may be utilized in this position from the start of his Real Madrid career. The former Monaco and PSG man will only be concerned with performing well, as revealed in his press conference.
