"It suits you" - Ian Wright makes claim as Manchester United legend Roy Keane reps retro Arsenal kit

Ian Wright was recently left in stitches as Manchester United legend Roy Keane was spotted trying on a vintage Arsenal jersey. The two have made quite a name for themselves as football pundits as they are regularly seen dissecting Euro 2024 football matches on shows like ITV and the Overlap podcast.

Although the reason isn't clear to us, it can be assumed that the Manchester United legend had lost a friendly bet with Ian Wright. Or maybe Keane donned the Gunners jersey for a promotional event for the two clubs.

"It suits you," commented Ian Wright in the video that is currently going viral on X.

Roy Keane has always been open about his dislike for the Gunners. In his 2013 ITV documentary titled Keane and Vieira: Best of Enemies, Keane opened up about his loathing for the Emirates Stadium club.

"I had a lot of hatred for Arsenal because they were big rivals. I can't think of any other word that springs to mind when I was going into battle with Arsenal," revealed the Manchester United midfielder at that time.

Keane also explained how that level of hatred was only exclusive to the Gunners and no other club. According to the veteran Red Devil, nothing about the north London club was likable to him.

"I never felt like that against any other team but Arsenal certainly brought out something different in me," explained Keane.

Notably, Keane also supports the Gunners' arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to give up Manuel Ugarte this transfer window. The 23-year-old midfielder has already been offered to Premier League giants like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Manchester United had an underwhelming season in 2023-24 and will look to bolster their midfield in the transfer window. They finished their lowest-ever eighth in the league but won the FA Cup. Last season, Erik Ten Hag placed his bets on Casemiro, who turned out to be a disappointment for the red outfit. Therefore, Ugarte will be a sensible signing for the Red Devils as someone reliable in the defensive midfield position.

On the other hand, the Gunners are also looking for someone in the position to fill the void that will be created if Thomas Partey leaves this summer. Manuel Ugarte is sound with the ball at his feet and excels at protecting the back four and connecting the defense with the attack. Together with Declan Rice, the PSG youngster can form a formidable defensive duo for the Gunners if they choose to sign him.
