"It is written in the stars" - Chris Sutton makes bold prediction for FA Cup S/F tie between Coventry City and Manchester United

BBC Sport columnist Chris Sutton has predicted Coventry City to shock Manchester United with a 2-1 win in their upcoming FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, April 21.

Coventry City made history by reaching the FA Cup semi-finals for the second time in the club's history after they secured a thrilling 3-2 comeback win against Wolves in the quarter-finals.

On the other hand, Manchester United dug deep to defeat Liverpool 4-3 in extra-time in the last eight. They will be the heavy favorites to make the final as they have won 13 out of their last 15 games against Coventry in all competitions, losing the other two.

However, Sutton has predicted a massive upset. He wrote (via BBC Sport):

"Coventry are not in the greatest form in the Championship, with three defeats in their past four games, but I am a romantic at heart and I believe in fairytales too. It is written in the stars that Sky Blues boss Mark Robins wins this tie, against his former club."

He continued:

"My old Norwich team-mate famously scored an FA Cup third-round winner for Manchester United in 1990 that saved Sir Alex Ferguson's job, but now I think he will push Erik ten Hag closer to the exit door."
"Some United fans get very angry on social media whenever I predict they will lose, like last week when I thought Bournemouth would beat them. But, while I did not get the result right on that occasion, another weak United performance in their 2-2 draw validated everything I said about them."

Sutton concluded:

"United should be beating Coventry comfortably but they have lacked consistency all season and I don't have faith in them to suddenly find it now. So, let me dream a little here. I've got great memories of the 1987 final, when Keith Houchen's diving header helped Coventry upset Tottenham and lift the FA Cup, and what a day it would be for them if they win."

Sutton's Prediction: 2-1

Andre Onana names the most skillful player at Manchester United

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has surprisingly named Amad Diallo and Antony as the most skillful players at the club.

The shot-stopper sat down with the Emirates FA Cup media to answer a round of quick-fire questions. When asked about who the most skillful player was, he responded (via United in Focus):

"Amad."

Onana then added:

“And Antony.”

Diallo has missed the majority of the season to date with a knee injury. He has made five appearances in total, and famously scored the winner against Liverpool to help Manchester United qualify for the semi-finals. However, he has been limited to just 45 minutes of football since then, much to the confusion of the Old Trafford faithful.
