Jadon Sancho reacts indifferently after fan asks him “Ten Hag’s gone, you coming back to Manchester United?” - Reports
Chelsea's Jadon Sancho has reportedly reacted indifferently when enquired about a return to Manchester United, as relayed by Sport Bible. The Englishman moved to Stamford Bridge this summer on a season-long loan after a fallout with former United boss Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils fought off stiff competition to sign Sancho in the summer of 2021 from Borussia Dortmund. Last season, he had a public fallout with Erik ten Hag and was banished from the first team squad.
Sancho subsequently left Manchester United on a loan deal in January this year to return to Bundesliga with Dortmund. He played a key role in the German side's march to the UEFA Champions League final, where, unfortunately, they came up second-best against Real Madrid.
However, the Englishman found himself at crossroads once again this summer. New Manchester United minority owners made multiple changes behind the scenes at the club, but opted to keep hold of Ten Hag.
That added to speculation regarding Sancho's future and he eventually joined the Blues on a temporary move. However, the Dutch manager was removed from his duties last month, with Ruben Amorim replacing him at Old Trafford on Monday.
A fan approached Jadon Sancho after Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Arsenal last weekedn and asked the player the all-important question:
"Ten Hag's gone, you coming back to United?"
However, the Englishman didn't respond and preferred to walk away. Chelsea reportedly have an obligation to buy Jadon Sancho for £20-25m if they finish 14th or higher in the league this season.
How many goals has Sancho scored for Manchester United?
Manchester United reportedly paid Borussia Dortmund £73m to sign Jadon Sancho in the summer of 2021. Unfortunately, the player failed to live up to the billing.
The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus that summer stole the limelight from the Englishman. Sancho ended his debut campaign with the Red Devils with five goals and three assists from 38 games.
The following campaign the Englishman found the back of the net seven times and set up three more from 41 games. However, it has been a downhill ride since for the player.
As of now, he has registered 12 goals and six assists from 83 games for Manchester United to date. For context, Sancho registered 53 goals and 67 assists from 158 games for Borussia Dortmund during his two stints with the club. He is yet to score a goal for Chelsea, but has registered three assists from five games so far.
