Jadon Sancho surpasses this season’s combined assist tally of Bruno Fernandes, Garnacho, Rashford and 4 other Manchester United players

Jadon Sancho - on loan at Chelsea from Manchester United - has more assists than seven Red Devils players combined this season. They include captain Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and four other United players.

Sancho, 24, moved to Stamford Bridge this summer on loan for the season after finding himself surplus to requirements at Old Trafford. However, in three Premier League games for his new side, the Englishman has racked up as many assists.

The latest one came in the 41st minute of the Blues' Premier League home game with Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday (September 28), with Cole Palmer completing his first league quadruple, thanks to his compatriot's assist.

With that, Sancho now has more assists than the United septet of Fernandez, Garnacho, Rashford, Mason Mount, Christian Eriksen, Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo combined, as per Squawka Live.

Sancho has registered an assist in all three Premier League appearances for the Blues, having done so on his league debut for the club in the 1-0 win at Bournemouth and the 3-0 victory at West Ham United.

Enzo Maresca's side beat Brighton 4-2 to move up to second in the standings after six games, two points behind leaders Manchester City (14), who drew 1-1 at Newcastle United earlier in the day.

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has had a forgettable stint at the club since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021. In 83 games across competitions, he has managed just 12 goals and six assists.

Nine goals and all six assists have come in 55 games in the Premier League, with Sancho also scoring once each in the UEFA Europa League (10 games), UEFA Champions League (seven games) and FA Cup (one game).

He played just thrice last season - all in the Premier League - before a public altercation with boss Erik ten Hag meant that he was banished from the first-team environment.

Sancho was subsequently sent out on loan in January to his former club Dortmund for the season, where he managed three goals and as many assists in 21 games across competitions.

Back at United this summer and after a rapproachment with his boss, Jadon Sancho was reintegrated into the squad. He appeared in the shootout defeat to Manchester City in the FA Community Shield but didn't appear in the Premier League and was loaned out to the Blues.
