Jorge Mendes offers Barcelona chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo’s 24-year-old teammate monitored by Real Madrid: Reports

According to El Nacional, Cristiano Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes has offered Barcelona a chance to sign Portuguese midfielder Vitinha, who has also been on the radar of Real Madrid. The super agent represents both Portuguese stars via his Gestifute agency and is reportedly open to setting up a deal with La Blaugrana.

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is an important player for club and country, having earned 21 caps for his country and giving a good account of himself at Euro 2024. He has also made 97 appearances for the French giants since he arrived in 2022 for €41.5 million, scoring 12 goals and setting up nine to help them win consecutive Ligue 1 titles.

The reigning French Champions are unlikely to part with the midfielder without demanding a premium price from Real Madrid or Barcelona, given his contract runs until 2027. Vitinha would certainly elevate Barcelona's midfield, given their issues with replacing Sergio Busquets since he left the club last summer for Inter Miami.

The midfielder is currently on international duty with Cristiano Ronaldo for Portugal's ongoing Nations League fixture against Croatia.

Former Barcelona star hails Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo as 'example for everyone'

Former Barcelona loanee Joao Felix recently praised Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo. The 24-year-old forward plays alongside Ronaldo for the Portuguese national team and is impressed by his achievements on and off the pitch.

Speaking about his compatriot on Tot Costa, Felix said (via Goal):

“He is an example for everyone in Portugal, in football and in life. We are all very lucky to have met him and to have seen him play.”

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most prolific players in the history of the sport, having bagged 900 career goals and won the Ballon d'Or five times in his illustrious career. Ronaldo's 900th strike for club and country came in Portugal's ongoing match against Croatia as he scored in the 34th minute to give his side a 2-0 lead.
