Jude Bellingham addresses Trent Alexander-Arnold transfer rumors ahead of Liverpool vs Real Madrid in Champions League

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham refused to discuss Trent Alexander-Arnold amid Liverpool exit rumors. He claimed that it was disrespectful to talk about possible moves ahead of the big clash on Wednesday (November 27).

Speaking to the media, Bellingham said he was good mates with the Liverpool star but it was not the time to discuss transfer moves. He said (via Metro):

"He’s a Liverpool player, and I think it’s disrespectful to come to his home today and speak before a huge game and speak about something that could be misconstrued. So it’s important to take that pressure off him. He’s a really good mate of mine and I want him to do really well, normally. Obviously, not tomorrow night. We’ll see what happens, but he’s a Liverpool player."

Trent Alexander-Arnold has less than a year remaining on his Liverpool contract and is yet to pen a new deal. Reports suggest that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the 26-year-old, as they are looking to sign a long-term Dani Carvajal replacement.

Trent Alexander-Arnold urged to stay at Liverpool by Emmanuel Petit amid Real Madrid talks

Former player Emmanuel Petit has urged Trent Alexander-Arnold not to move to Real Madrid. The former Arsenal and Chelsea star believes the right-back should stay at Liverpool as he can become one of the best in the Anfield club's history.

He was talking to Instant Casino when he said (via Sports Illustrated):

"You know what, I’m not sure about Alexander-Arnold and Real Madrid. He has the opportunity to stay at a huge club like Liverpool and he can become one of the best players in Liverpool history of a legendary and special club like Liverpool. That has to be something that is very interesting to him, especially as a local boy and a fan of the club."
"If he goes to Madrid, he's going to play every single season hoping to win the Champions League, but I think it's the same for Liverpool. Liverpool, every time they are involved in the Champions League, they want to win, but they don't have the same recent history as Madrid in the competition. Madrid is the reference in the Champions League, but Liverpool is a huge club," he added.

Apart from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool also have the contracts of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah to sort out this season. Both players have said they are yet to receive offers from the club despite being in the final months of their current deals.
