Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's house was broken into, and the thief ran off with a signed Juventus shirt, according to the Mirror. Ronaldo's Madeira house was the scene of the burglary, and the shirt was worth around €200.

Juventus's Ronaldo was on national team duty during the theft

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently with the Portugal national team and was part of the first XI which drew 0-0 against Spain yesterday. Officials have footage of the thief courtesy of CCTV cameras, so a quick arrest is anticipated.

Ronaldo joined the Portugal national team on the back of a good start for club Juventus in the Serie A. The team have played two games, having won one game and drawn the other.

Juventus have appointed the inexperienced Andrea Pirlo as the manager following the sacking of Maurizio Sarri at the end of last season. The Old Lady have backed Pirlo in the market, and were busy in the transfer window.

Young midfielders Weston McKennie, Arthur Melo and Dejan Kulusevski have joined the squad, alongside attackers Alvaro Morata and Federico Chiesa. There has been a clear move to reduce the age of the squad, with Juventus letting go of veteran players Blaise Matuidi and Gonzalo Higuain, and the club trying to sell Sami Khedira.

However, 35-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo remains the star of Juventus and continues to lead the line at a high level for the club. He has enjoyed a strong start to the season, scoring three goals in two games.

Juventus have won nine consecutive Serie A titles, and are now aiming for a record tenth. With the likes of Inter Milan strengthening under Antonio Conte and Atalanta B.C continuing to play exciting football, a tough competition for the title is expected this time around.

The Old Lady are the favourites to win the league, but they will also keep a keen eye on the Champions League. Juventus have drawn La Liga giants Barcelona, Dynamo Kyiv and Ferencvaros in the group stages of the tournament. The match against Barcelona means that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will face each other once more.
