Key Chelsea man set to miss FA Cup semi-final clash against Manchester City - Reports

According to The Atheltic, Chelsea are set to be without centre-back Levi Colwill when they face Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday, April 20. The England international is yet to recover from his toe injury, which has kept him out for over a month.

Colwill first suffered the injury in a league match against Crystal Palace in February but soldiered on, playing through the pain until March. The 21-year-old has returned to training, but Saturday's game will probably come too soon.

Academy graduate Colwill has taken on a starring role in Mauricio Pochettino's side this season, featuring prominently after an excellent season on loan at Brighton. The youngster has also captained the club on two occasions this season, indicating how highly he is regarded by the manager and ownership.

The centre-back had hoped to be back to full fitness for the match against Manchester City at Wembley, but is set to be disappointed. The club expect him to return for one of their next two games, against Arsenal or Aston Villa, after facing City.

In his first season of senior football at Stamford Bridge, Colwill has played at left-back and on the left side of a centre-back pairing. The Englishman has already amassed 32 appearances for Chelsea this season, despite missing all six of his side's most recent matches across two competitions.

Pochettino will have a major decision to make ahead of the game against City on Saturday, with Colwill having performed so well against them in February. The Argentine manager will have to choose from Thiago Silva, Benoit Badiashile, Axel Disasi, and Trevoh Chalobah to play in central defense against City.

Chelsea welcome duo back from injury ahead of Manchester City clash

Chelsea will have Enzo Fernandez and Axel Disasi back in their squad for the FA Cup semifinal against Manchester City at Wembley. Both players have recovered from their respective injury problems and are set to feature in the match on Saturday.

For the first time in his Chelsea career, Frenchman Disasi missed a game through injury when he sat out for the Blues' win over Everton. Enzo missed the clash against the Toffees due to a troublesome groin problem.

In the training photos released by the club as they continue to work towards the match against City, Disasi and Fernandez could be seen in full training. The team thrived in their absence against Everton, but they will add quality to the side when they face City on Saturday.
