Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi react as Ethan Mbappe announces PSG exit
Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi have reacted to midfielder Ethan Mbappe's Instagram post in which he announced that he is leaving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Following his youth career at the club which started in 2017, Ethan officially made his senior debut for the Ligue 1 giants in December 2023.
The left-footed midfielder, who is the brother of French star Kylian Mbappe, announced his departure from Parc des Princes after making five senior appearances for the club.
Ethan Mbappe shared a post on Instagram speaking about his time at PSG and wrote:
"With my soul of a child and supporter since birth, I found you dream-filled eyes. This was almost seven years ago and I had no doubt that we would be on such an adventure together."
The post further read:
"It was the beginning of seven years when my daily life and my heart vibrated in red and blue. Seven years of meetings that marked me forever. Seven years of priceless human and sporting memories. From carefree childhood to my first professional steps, you have provided the best foundation for the man and player I aspire to be."
Bidding farewell to his boyhood club, 17-year-old Ethan added:
"For all that you have brought me, for all these great people you put on my path and for the way you have made me grow, in the name of sincere love I have for you, I say thank you and goodbye @psg ❤️💙."
Kylian Mbappe commented on his brother's post:
"❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"
Ethan's former teammate and PSG defender Achraf Hakimi also commented on the post:
"🐍❤️"
PSG won the Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the 2023 Trophée des Champions last season.
Achraf Hakimi bid farewell to former PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe after the forward joined Real Madrid
On May 10, Kylian Mbappe announced his departure from PSG after seven eventful seasons at Parc des Princes. Earlier in June, the French forward signed for Spanish giants Real Madrid. Following the transfer to Santiago Bernabéu, the 25-year-old made a post on social media with the caption:
"A dream come true, So happy and proud to join the club of my dream @realmadrid Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. ¡Hala Madrid! 🤍🤍🤍"
After Mbappe's move to Los Blancos was announced, his former teammate Achraf Hakimi posted on Instagram, bidding goodbye to the France nation team captain. The caption read:
"Thank you for everything! Going to miss you my brother! I love you ❤️👉🏽👈🏽"
Kylian Mbappe is the top scorer for the French club, netting 256 goals and providing 108 assists in 308 appearances.
