La Liga giants have offered Chelsea star a high salary, keen to sign him this summer: Reports
La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly keen on signing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher this summer, as per Relevo's Matteo Moretto. Atletico have also offered the English midfielder a high salary as they look to reach an agreement on personal terms.
A product of Chelsea's famed Cobham academy, Gallagher has played for Charlton, Swansea, West Bromwich, and Crystal Palace, on loan. The 24-year-old has made 95 appearances for the Stamford Bridge outfit, bagging ten goals and ten assists.
Additionally, he also captained the Blues across competitions in the 2023/24 season. However, his future at Chelsea has been under question since the appointment of Italian tactician Enzo Maresca as the manager this summer.
Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the English midfielder and have reportedly reached an agreement with the Blues for a £34 million fee (via Daily Mail). However, the midfielder is yet to agree personal terms with Atletico and has also reportedly rejected two short-term contract offers from the Blues.
Gallagher's current contract with Chelsea is set to expire next summer and the Blues could lose him on a free. Apart from Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in signing the English midfielder, according to reports.
